History
Zimbabwe Democracy and Development Foundation (ZDDF) was founded in July 2007 by a former Zimbabwe Agri-business manager, and a former senior civil servant in the Zimbabwe government, now a political refugee. This unusual alliance and friendship springs from a common passion and vision for the future of Zimbabwe and its role within modern Africa.
Our vision is to create an organization, independent of party alliances or personal interests of political leadership, that can work together with all stakeholders to restore, and importantly preserve democracy in Zimbabwe for future generations. Essential to preserving democracy is economic growth and stability. Instead of the pariah of Africa, we believe Zimbabwe can and must be restored to its rightful place among the leading countries of Africa, and to be able to compete and trade globally and sustainably in agriculture, mining,, tourism, information technology, manufacturing and services.
